From the terraced rice-fields above Pokhara, we walk on good trails through picturesque Gurung villages and the world’s biggest rhododendron forest which, in spring, bursts with color. My mother and I had a lovely manageable trek through parts of the Annapurna range in October 2016. My mother, being 60+, needed to take it slowly which was no problem for our guide, Ganesh. Being more then accommodating, he allowed her to pace herself and to take her time so she could enjoy the gorgeous views. Our porter Suman was also a lovely young guy, with positive spirits throughout. Communication was flawless throughout the trip and overall it was a great tour to introduce us to the beauty Nepal has to offer.
